Final crosswalk on Good Friday

The fifth and final crosswalk will leave Drumcree Parish Church at 4.30pm on Good Friday.

It will follow a route incorporating Corcrain estate, the town centre and the Garvaghy Road, returning to Drumcree church for a service.

Said the Rev Gary Galway, rector or Drumcree, “When we started the crosswalk, we always said that we would organise it for five years, as we did not want it becoming just something which traditionally happens. It is always about seeking and asking what God is wanting us to do and taking that step of faith.

“This year we will be joined by the Zephaniah Dancers who will do a short drama in the town centre and they will also be part of the Good Friday service at 8pm, where they will tell the Easter story by way of dance, drama and mime. There are many ways to share the gospel and this is just one of them.

“The walk and service is for everyone and we really hope and pray that there will be a good crowd.”
