First meeting of new motorcycle group on Monday

Bikers from all across the north of the Province will be gathering at Joey’s Bar in Ballymoney, BT53 6JR, on the evening of Monday the 7th of November, for the inaugural meeting of a new local motorcycle group.

This meeting of the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG), is open to anyone who rides a motorbike or scooter, regardless of make or size and to anyone who just enjoys motorbikes.

MAG works to raise the awareness of motorcyclists’ needs in the local area and nationally, from improving road surfaces and parking facilities, to influencing Government on greener transport policy and road casualty reduction. MAG also monitors legislation emanating from Europe that will adversly affect riders and uses that information to keep riders and domestic politicians informed, launching campaigns when necessary.

Locally though, MAG is also a great way to meet like minded people who share an interest in bikes, and to take part in the wealth of social activities and charity fundraisers that they organise.
