The Ceili House which Barry jointly owned was a hub of traditional music and the home of The Ceili House Folk Club as well as one of the most popular venues for the annual Tony Lavery Fleadh.

Barry helped build the Ceili House into a lively night spot, regularly promoting young up-and-coming bands as well as providing a platform for popular local bands.

Barry was known to be a great encouragement to young musicians throughout his life.

Since his retirement he was a popular figure in Lurgan, always keen on following music and meeting friends.

Mr Kerr had been in ill health off and on for a number of years and went into hospital last week where he passed away on Tuesday.
