Free and low cost microchipping
A session will take place on Friday, February 26 – Pets at Home, Crescent Link, between 11am-3pm.
Ronnie Milsop, Campaigns Manager for Dogs Trust in Northern Ireland, said: “Microchipping your dog offers many benefits, not least the fact that it will help to reunite owners quickly with lost or stolen pets. Microchipping your pet is an important part of responsible dog ownership and this is a great opportunity to get it done free or at a very reduced rate. Our events in Derry are always popular and we hope to see lots of Derry dog owners over the next few weeks.”

Hide AdA microchip is a small electronic device, the size of a grain of rice, which is implanted under the skin between a dog’s shoulder blades. The microchip is coded with a unique number that is stored on a database. This number can be read by a scanner. If a dog is ever lost its owners can then easily be traced.
Dogs Trust cares for over 16,000 stray or abandoned dogs every year through its network of 17 Rehoming Centres. Dogs Trust never puts a healthy dog down.
