Fundraiser collects almost £4,000 in memory of David

The family of David Woods (Woodsie) who died tragically on December 11 last year have thanked all his friends who attended a recent fundraising event in his memory.

The event raised £3,805.44 and the money was donated to the bowel surgery ward in Castle Hill Hospital, Hull and addiction services in St Luke’s Hospital, Armagh.

Thanks go to Neil Ritchie and Ian Mahood for working tirelessly over the past few months organising sponsorship, draw tickets, a venue, music and catering.

Tribute was paid to the local businesses who sponsored prizes for the draw, Salt Restaurant for the buffet, Carleton Street Social Club for staging the event and the DJs.

The family also thanked everyone who bought or sold a ticket
