Fundraising success for Coleraine Samaritans

COLERAINE Samaritans held a fundraiser with local band The Grooverobbers last month which was a huge success.

The total amount raised on the night was £562 and £392 of that was raised by the raffle and The Grooverobbers fee of £120 was kindly donated by them. Ulster Bank Portrush also donated £50 towards the evening.

A Samaritans spokesperson said: “We would like to thank all who donated prizes, especially Donaghy Brothers in Coleraine for the bagless vacuum cleaner and Sean at Frankie and Bennys for the meal voucher, a Crusoes Coffee shop voucher Castlerock thanks to Roger Robinson, guitar lessons by David McMechan, a classic LP from Brian Lagan, wine from Sainsbury’s donated by Gillian Ekin.

“Also included were other great prizes such as a cinema bundle from Jet centre Coleraine, perfume and chocolates from volunteers at Samaritans.

“The Branch relies on donations and fundraising events like this to keep in operation. We are delighted with the amount raised are are grateful to everyone who helped in any way to make this event as successful as it was.

“We would finally like to thank Declan and staff at The Top House for all their help and allowing us to use the Top House for the evening.”
