Had an air rifle without a licence
A Lurgan man was fined £200 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for having an air rifle without a firearms certificate.
John Flynn (33), Victoria Street, Lurgan, was also fined £100 for having ammunition, pellets for an air rifle.
The court heard that on April 9 last year police went to an address and the defendant’s partner said there was a gun belonging to him in the hallway.
A barrister representing Flynn said he had been at the market and thought this was a pellet gun which he bought for £40. He added he defendant was unaware he needed a licence.
