Hastings Hotels scoops Good Food Award
Hastings Hotels - owners of the Ballygally Castle Hotel -has received the prestigious Good Food Ireland Newcomer of the Year 2011 Award for Northern Ireland.
The family-owned hotel group became a member of Good Food Ireland earlier this year after implementing significant changes in their supply chain and in their food culture, with the most impeccable food sourcing of any hotel group on the island.
Guest of honour at the awards, An Taoiseach Enda Kenny presented the accolade to the General Manager of Culloden Estate & Spa, Stephen Meldrum - former Ballygally Castle general manager - at the Good Food Ireland Conference & Awards Ceremony in the Shelbourne Hotel in front of over 300 guests including hoteliers, restaurateurs, farmers, food producers and fishermen as well as key dignitaries.
