Hockey success praised

LOCAL success in the sport of hockey was toasted at this Monday's council meeting.

Councillor Carla Lockhart congratulated four young ladies from within the borough - Natalie Barr, Louise Murray, Chloe McCann and Jill Edgar - all of whom participated in the Ulster team and subsequently won the Gold Medal in the UK School Games.

"This is a credit to the young people of this borough," said Councillor Lockhart.
