Christ Church (Church of Ireland), Bessbrook are hosting a special evening of ‘Favourite Hymn’ singing in their Parish Church on Sunday at 7pm.

The parishioners in the church recently conducted a survey which has resulted in 12 of their most popular hymns being selected for this special service of praise.

The congregation of Christ Church extend a cordial invitation to everyone, in the local community and beyond, to join them and make this a very special occasion.

Hymns such as ‘How Great Thou Art’, ‘The Old Rugged Cross’ and ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’ will be sung with great enthusiasm in the inspirational setting of Christ Church, Bessbrook.

The hymns offer a variety of styles. Many, if not all, of the hymns included in the service will have impacted and encouraged many people over the generations.

The service will be conducted by Rev William McCracken, who will introduce the hymns with a short reflection on the history and significance of the words and music of each hymn.

After the service the parishioners of Christ Church will provide a well-earned supper, for all, in their adjoining Parish Hall.
