Industrial Waste report is due today
An expert review into alleged illegal landfilling at City Industrial Waste Ltd. in Gorticross is due to be published this morning.
Environment Minister Mark H. Durkan is due to unveil the report - by former Welsh Environmental Agency chief, Chris Mills - at Orchard House. Mr Durkan’s predecessor Alex Attwood revoked the licence of City Industrial Waste in June stating: “Not just tens but some hundreds of thousands of tonnes of waste have been illegally deposited in a number of areas of land in the Mobuoy area.”
