A Portadown man who was abusive to police was fined £200 last Friday at Craigavon Court for disorderly behaviour on March 7.
Derrick Graham Hardy (32), Westland Road, Portadown, was ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
The court heard that Hardy, who was intoxicated, abused police after a confrontation with another male in Thomas Street.
Defence solicitor Richard Monteith said Hardy was so drunk he had no recollection of what happened.
He said Hardy was ashamed of his behaviour. When someone else got involved with the police he butted in.
