David ‘Dee’ Moorhead has been awarded the accolade by company Les Mills, which helps millions of participants build their fitness every week through its classes.

As a member of the UK trainer team, Dee will be responsible for training and developing new instructors in Bodycombat, a form of energetic cardio workout inspired by martial arts.

The trainer team helps new instructors and the business ensure continual professional development and instructor progression from initial module graduation through the advanced module training (AIM) to becoming trainers and even international presenters.

Les Mills’ Head Trainer Dave Kyle stated: “Dee made it onto the world-renowned trainer team and will work to support the growing instructor tribe.

“Dee showed a fantastic understanding of the essence of the programme, an enthusiasm for creating a fitter planet and is an exceptional instructor.

“It was a really tough process and less than 50 per cent of the people who attended the bootcamp made the team so Dee really does deserve a lot of credit.”

Dee, who teaches at the Fit Factory in Larne and at Simply Class in Whiteabbey, commented: “For me it’s more than just exercise classes, it’s the Les Mills culture, the way of life and I’m so proud to be part of it.

“Above all we are passionate about delivering life-changing fitness experiences, everytime, everywhere.”
