Jordanstown lecturer hits out at reforms
Prof Eileen Evason claimed that Northern Ireland would lose £25m as a result of the Government’s Social Security Bill.
She said that the analysis of the detailed proposals exposed the Government’s claim that the reform represented a shift in resources and not cuts.

Hide AdCommenting on the issue, Prof Evason said: “It is the pensioners and unemployed of Northern Ireland who will suffer. Even families with children, to whom the Government claims to be committed, are set to lose £9m.”
Eileen was speaking at the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action conference on the implications of the proposed reforms.
