Know where your child is at Halloween
The project, entitled ‘Where is your child?’, targets local parents and urges them to pay attention to the whereabouts of their children at all times.
The initiative, funded by PCSP, also aims to stimulate debate around the key community safety issues of illegal fireworks, alcohol misuse and anti-social behaviour.

Hide AdWelcoming the initiative, PCSP Chair Alderman William King said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to highlight the issue of parental awareness around alcohol misuse and fireworks, both of which are problematic at this time of year.”
Causeway Coast & Glens Chief Inspector Mark McClarence said: “It is understandable that young people want to go out and have fun at Halloween and we don’t want to ruin anyone’s fun.
“However, what might seem like a prank to some people may actually amount to carrying out an assault or causing criminal damage.
“We also tend to see an increase in reports of under-age drinking and misuse of fireworks so would encourage parents, schools and local community groups to reinforce these safety messages to help make Halloween safe and enjoyable.”
