Ladies enjoyedvisit to the Island
Everyone was greeted by the Mayor, Councillor Margaret Tolerton, who invited the ladies into the Council Chamber, where the 32 members meet twice a month.
The Mayor gave a very informative talk on the history of Lisburn and the centre, which was opened by the Queen in 2001.

Hide AdCouncillor Tolerton also explained about the merger of Lisburn and Castlereagh Councils, taking place next year.
The ladies then enjoyed a supper in the Mayor’s Parlour, where they were presented with a gift of a compact bearing the Lisburn coat of arms.
The Birthday Girl on the day was Maureen O’Hare.
