Laurelvale woman admits £8,000 fraud charges

A Laurelvale woman admitted charges of fraud by abuse of position involving over £8,000 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

Heather Dickson (52), Quality Hill, Laurelvale, faces four offences.

The first alleges that between January 18, 2012, and March 28, 2014, she dishonestly abused her position as an employee of Barclays Bank and made withdrawals in the amount of £5,050 from an account without the consent of the owner.

A second charge involving £200 is said to have happened on January 20, 2012. The third charge is for the sum of £400 between February 14, 2012, and April 4, 2012. The final charge relates to the period of February 14, 2012, and April 4, 2014, and withdrawals to the amount of £2,663.

The case was adjourned until February 13 for a pre-sentence report.
