A free, six-week course on stress management is being held at two local campuses of Southern Regional College.
The joint venture between the college and Southern Health and Social Care Trust will take place on Monday, February 2 at the Armagh campus and Wednesday the 4th at the Portadown campus, from 7-8.30pm.
Stress control aims to teach people to understand the triggers of their own stress and anxiety and provides them with self-help techniques to be able to manage it effectively.
It teaches better ways to handle common problems such as stress, anxiety, low mood, low self-confidence, poor sleep and panic.
The course, which has been delivered all over the world, is a class – not group therapy - and those attending do not have to talk about their problems in front of others.
They can even bring a friend, relative or colleague if they wish.
Each week focuses on a different area, using proven psychological techniques to help manage stress better. For further information and to enrol phone 0300 1231223 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
