Members of Loughgall Women’s Institute received some life-saving advice at their November meeting.

Pamela Armstrong of St John Ambulance gave guidance on how to place someone in the recovery position and how to maintain an open airway at all times.

She also informed members on how to act on encountering a range of situations such as someone choking or having a heart attack.

The competition for an old remedy was won by Priscilla Anderson.

She described her remedy for improving circulation.

President Susan Todd summarised the business of the evening and the minutes of the October meeting were read and approved.

The meeting closed with supper following another enjoyable evening.
