Lisburn Culture Night launched

With over 30 free events in 25 venues across Lisburn city centre, Culture Night has something for everyone.

Culture Night will take place on Friday, September 19 and for one night only residents and visitors will enjoy a night of free entertainment including live music in local restaurants and bars, exhibitions, outdoor performances and cultural workshops.

Culture Night is the perfect opportunity to get together with friends and family, grab a programme, explore Lisburn city centre, experience something different and enjoy a great night out.

Alderman Paul Porter, Chairman Lisburn City Council’s Leisure Committee said: “I am delighted Lisburn is staging such a major event again this year. Culture Night is a great initiative for the arts and cultural sectors in Lisburn city.

“A vast range of free cultural activities will be available for all ages in restaurants, bars, organisations and public spaces across the city.

“Hopefully with support from the people of Lisburn, Culture Night will grow to become one of the key dates in the calendar.”

Alderman Allan Ewart, Chairman of Lisburn City Council’s Economic Development Committee said: “Not only does Culture Night provide the opportunity for performers and venues to showcase their works and connect with local people, but it also gives local people the chance to connect with their city.

“Lisburn City Council is proud to contribute to this event through the DSD Revitalisation Project and Community Festival Fund. It is fantastic to see so many community organisations and local business owners coming together for one night to celebrate the riches of the city. I encourage everyone to get involved and enjoy Culture Night in Lisburn.”
