On Sunday June 14 a team of brave Northern Lift Trucks staff abseiled down the Europa Hotel, Belfast in memory of their late service manager, Mr David McShane.

David was a valued member of the Northern Lift Trucks team for over seventeen years and throughout that time became a well-respected colleague and close friend to all at Northern Lift Trucks.

He is sorely missed by everyone.

It was his family’s wishes that proceeds raised by the abseiling team be in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care; an extremely worthwhile cause.

The team was headed up by Mr Brian Bradford, Managing Director, followed by their fearless accountant Roisin McLernon, Brian and Aileen McCartan, Mark Morton, Gerard Harbinson, Sophie Bradford and their health and safety manager; Gerry McStravick.

However, the whole company has pulled together in their fundraising efforts and raised a staggering £8,000 for Marie Curie.

Brian Bradford and all the staff at Northern Lift Trucks would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone that has donated and supported the abseil.

They started out with a target of £5,000 and are overwhelmed that they have exceeded it by so much.

2015 marks the 30th anniversary of Northern Lift Trucks and although the year has been marked with sadness the entire staff body have rallied together to celebrate this milestone and raise a phenomenal amount in David’s memory.

There is no doubt that David would have loved the spectacle that took place down the side of the Europa on Sunday June 14.
