Long Meadow Cider is continuing with its winning ways having picked up ‘the Best Alcoholic Beverage Award’ for its Blossom Burst Cider at the Taste of Cavan Food and Drink Festival.
“The award is particularly pleasing for us as a company as our Blossom Burst Cider came out top, not only against other ciders, but also the beers that were exhibiting at this prestigious food and drinks event,” explained Pat McKeever of Long Meadow Cider.
The Taste of Cavan Award helped to seal a very successful period of achievement for the McKeever family with its Blossom Burst Cider and its Medium Cider also picking up one star awards in the UK Great Taste Awards.
“We had obtained one star status for our Medium Cider in last year’s Great Taste Awards and to now also have that quality recognition for our Blossom Burst Cider is just fantastic,” continued Pat. “It helps to underline the quality ethos that we as a family business have adopted for the production of our locally produced cider.”
Long Meadow Cider has also been shortlisted as a finalist in the Irish Quality Food & Drink Awards.
The winners are to be announced at a glittering ceremony that will be hosted by Irish celebrity chef and proprietor of restaurant L’Ecrivain, Derry Clarke at the Round Room, Mansion House, Dublin on September 16.
A new Oak Aged Cider has just been added to the Long Meadow range.
