If you’re stuck for something to do next weekend, come to Belfast city centre - where belly laughs galore are promised at the Festival of Fools!

The annual international street theatre festival, now in its 12th year, promises a weekend packed with dare devil feats, fast paced acrobatics, mesmerising object manipulation, and comedy genius!

From Friday 1 to Monday 4 May, more than 120 performances will take place across the streets of Belfast City Centre and Cathedral Quarter, celebrating the best of street theatre, circus and comedy from around the world - and it’s all free of chrage!

The festival opens on Friday at 7pm in Writers’ Square with ‘Cast Off’, the biggest street show ever to be produced by the Belfast Community Circus School. From Saturday to Monday, the Festival continues with shows in Writers’ Square, St Anne’s Square, Cotton Court, Rosemary Street and Cornmarket. Each evening finishes with The Big Finish - a variety style show featuring highlights from the day’s acts in the relaxed surroundings of St Anne’s Square.

You can also treat yourselves to delicious deals in 17 restaurants, bars and cafes, which are taking part in the Festival of Foods.
