Loyalist Communities Council chairman at Lambeth Palace

Carrick resident David Campbell CBE has attended a private luncheon with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Rev Dr Justin Welby at Lambeth Palace, London.

The lunch was hosted by Dr Welby for members of the Loyalist Communities Council which is chaired by Mr Campbell. Dr Welby heard about the background of the LCC and its work in promoting reconciliation and dealing with educational under-achievement in loyalist communities, stated Mr Campbell.

Dr Welby was presented with a copy of ‘Bangor - Light of the World’ by Ulster historian Dr Ian Adamson. It tells of the evangelising work of Saint Columbanus from Bangor, Co Down.
