A 22-year-old man who was fighting with two other men in a Portadown street was given 80 hours’ community service last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
Ciaran McCann, The Beeches, admitted disorderly behaviour in Woodhouse Street on April 10.
The court heard that three males were fighting at the entrance to the High Street Mall.
McCann, who was clearly intoxicated, was involved in the incident with two other males. All three parties admitted a scuffle had taken place.
A solicitor for McCann said he was clearly outnumbered and was acting foolishly because he was heavily intoxicated.
Imposing the community service District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said the defendant had two previous convictions for disorderly behaviour.
