A 41-year-old man who was found with a knife on him as he was being treated at Craigavon Area Hospital will be sentenced next month at the local court.
Daniel McConville (41), Moyraverty Centre, Craigavon, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour, possession of an offensive weapon, a folding knife, and two assaults on the police on December 17 last year.
A public prosecutor said that at 6.45am police were tasked to Craigavon Area Hospital concerning a male who had facial injuries.
They were met by the defendant who was under the influence of alcohol. He was seen by a triage nurse who called police telling them that the defendant had a small knife.
At this stage District Judge, Mr Desmond Perry, stopped the case, saying that he considered any misbehaviour inside the hospital was exceptionally serious.
He adjourned the case until March 27 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
