Man in court after robbery

A Newtownabbey man who was arrested following a robbery near Larne last Wednesday has been charged with 14 offences.

The 28-year-old, who was arrested in the Newtownabbey area, was charged with six counts of burglary and attempted burglary and eight driving offences.

The burglary charges relate to incidents in the Larne and Newtownabbey areas.

The man was arrested after a Post Office in Glynn was robbed, but he has not been charged in relation to that incident. Detectives are continuing their enquiries.

The man appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Friday, June 27 and was remanded in custody.
