A 47-year-old man is to appear in court today charged in relation to the discovery of a number of cannabis factories, including one in Portadown.
Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime Branch charged the man with being concerned in the supply of class B controlled drug (three counts), cultivating cannabis (three counts), possession of class B controlled drug with intent to supply (three counts) and possession of class B controlled drug (three counts).
He is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ court this morning.
As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
A cannabis factory was discovered in Church Street in Portadown in 2014.
The charges related to the discovery of cannabis and herbal cannabis with a total estimated street value of more than £1.6 million.
