When his partner would not let him into her home a Portadown man was abusive to police and kicked an officer on the leg.
Paul Davidson (30), Westland Road, was fined £120 last Friday at Craigavon Court for assaulting an officer on January 27.
He was also fined £90 for disorderly behaviour.
The court heard that around 1am, police went to Jervis Street where the defendant was banging on the front door and windows of a house.
He was verbally abusive and was warned about his behaviour. He was highly intoxicated and was arrested but continued to use foul and abusive language.
Davidson also kicked out at an officer.
Defence said he was extremely drunk. He explained Davidson had gone round to the home of his partner but because he was drunk she would not let him in.
When he sobered up in the police station he apologised.
He explained that the defendant had one previous conviction when he was 16 and since then he had kept on the straight and narrow.
District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said the worst feature was that an officer was physically assaulted.
