Mark Daniel Ward, whose address was given to the court as Drumellan Gardens, Craigavon, admitted disorderly behaviour on July 3 this year.

The court heard that at 8.40pm police were called to Portadown railway station where people were causing a disturbance.

They saw the defendant, who was unsteady on his feet, shouting loudly and swearing while a female with him was also shouting loudly.

Ward was saying ‘f—k off’ and other obscenities while young families were walking past.

A solicitor representing Ward said he had been in custody for a couple of weeks before he got bail and this had ‘wised him up slightly’.

District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said that because there were young children and others there when Ward used the foul language he was going to get a pre-sentence report.

He adjourned the case until September 2.
