Mr McGuinness canvassed and visited local businesses before visitng the community allotments in the Taghnevan area.Sinn Féin’s Catherine Seeley said it was a privilege to host Mr McGuinness and to have his support,
“It is a privilege that Martin took the time to come to Upper Bann and to show his support for our election campaign. Both John O’Dowd and I are very greatful for his efforts, but also because of the amount of time he took to call in with local businesses and with a local community project in Taghnevan.”
“It is no exaggeration to say that the warm welcome he received was phenomenal; something he himself commented on with great humility.” Ms Seeley said: “In Upper Bann we have a real opportunity to strengthen the type of leadership and delivery that Martin McGuinness has spearheaded. On Thursday 5th of May, we should all seize that opportunity.”
