A Portadown man who was abusive to police was fined £175 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for disorderly behaviour on November 12.
The court heard that at 11.05pm in High Street, police saw two males having a confrontation with another male.
Keith Strain (45), Magowan House, West Street, who was unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol, told police to ‘f—k off’. Defence said Strain had settled down in the last number of years although this court appearance was not to his credit.
He added that the defendant had a lot of drink taken and his alcohol dependency had been the curse of his life.
District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said Strain had stayed out of trouble for quite some time.
