Sinn Fein MEP Martina Anderson has visited Portadown to look at the construction work ongoing at Portadown People’s Park.
Mrs Anderson met with Deputy Mayor Catherine Seeley as she visited the site, which is funded by a major EU investment of almost £6 million.
Member of the European Parliament Ms Anderson, said, “I would like to thank Cllr Catherine Seeley for inviting me down to view progress at the site and I know the redevelopment of the park has been a long time in the pipeline.
“I would like to congratulate all those who have worked to support the project including local councillors and council officials. I have no doubt the end product will be a useful facility for the entire community.”
Ms Seeley said, “The park is a very important project for the entire community in Portadown.
“I was delighted Martina was able to come down to the park again to see how things are progressing. We all now look forward to the works being completed and to the project work beginning.”
