‘Message to the nations’ at 1st Ahoghill Presbyterian

Ballymena Presbytery will hold the annual Overseas Mission evening in First Ahoghill Presbyterian Church tomorrow Wednesday, January 29.

The theme for the evening is ‘Message for the Nations’.

Taking part will be Robin and Helen Quinn who have just recently returned to Northern Ireland after serving for 10 years with the Presbyterian Church in Malawi where they were based at Ekwendeni, in the Livingstonia Synod of Northern Malawi.

Robin has just retired as vice-principal of the Livingstonia Theological College and assisting with programmes of evangelism, christian training and theological education.

Helen has been involved in leading small business management training for ladies and helping to run the Synod’s Women’s Empowerment Programme.

Also speaking tomorrow night will be David Middleton of SAT-7, which is one of the Presbyterian Church partners in Mission.

SAT-7 is a unique and strategic ministry that uses satellite TV to reach into millions of homes across the Middle East and North Africa, helping to share the love of Christ and to encourage Christians in their faith.

Through SAT-7, viewers are able to watch Christian television programmes in their own language in the privacy of their own homes.

Tomorrow night at First Ahoghill promises to be an uplifting and challenging evening of worship with Mission news and information about the continuing work to bring the Message of Jesus Christ to people of all nations.

The evening begins at 8pm and is open to all.
