Midnight soccer event success

Around 120 young people recently took part in the Spring Midnight Street Soccer League organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

This 5-a-side soccer league engages boys and girls aged 12 to 17 and groups them into teams to develop their soccer skills through weekly tournaments.

As well as taking part in competitions the league helps them make new friends and have fun on a Saturday night, all under the watchful eye of qualified and experienced coaches.

The weekly league finished with a celebration event in Portadown People’s Park where the competition was fierce in the finals. Afterwards the young people enjoyed a Slo Mo Booth, DJ Workshop, food and refreshments. Spot prizes were also up for grabs.
