'˜More local power'
A report supporting giving more powers to local councils has been backed by ABC councillor David Jones.
Backing the review, the councillor said many services could be delivered at less cost to the taxpayer.
“We are paying MLA’s to act as quasi Councillors, costing salary and expenses, and not doing the job they are paid,” he said adding councils should be given control over roads, grass cutting and street lighting.
