Nominations are now sought for the 2012 Larne Business Awards

With 14 award categories, there’s the opportunity to nominate all kinds of businesses, from the smallest of enterprises right up to large companies.

The categories cover all aspects of business and industry, giving the opportunity to enter one or more categories. There’s also a special lifetime achievement award which will mark an outstanding contribution to business in and commitment to the Larne area.

Judging will be carried out by an independent judging panel, but there are also several awards which will be presented according to the wishes of Larne Times’ readers. There is the special opportunity for readers to not only nominate their favourite restaurant / cafe and provider of the best customer service, but they can also vote to decide who will win these categories.

Anyone can make a nomination, regardless of whether they are a business owner, an employee or a satisfied customer.

Larne Times editor, Valerie Martin, encouraged both those directly involved in the business world and the general public to get involved.

“It is important that our readers, many of whom are customers of the borough’s businesses, are given the chance to take part in the awards process,” she said.

To nominate a business, use the entry form printed on the page opposite.

Simply complete the form with all the information asked for. A business can be entered for more than one award category but each entry must be submitted on a separate entry form.

The closing date for submitting entry forms is Friday, August 17. Completed forms should be returned to the Larne Times temporary reception office, c/o Hampson Estates, 1 Dunluce Street, Larne, BT40 1JG.

The judging process will be carried out by an independent judging panel with some awards also going to a public vote through the Larne Times.
