Justice Minister David Ford has announced the opening of the latest round of funding applications in the Assets Recovery Community Scheme.
Community groups across Northern Ireland are being invited to apply for the funding which comes from assets seized from criminals.
David Ford said: “Over £3 million from the Asset Recovery Community Scheme has gone to a wide range of projects since it opened in 2011. This money, which has been taken out of the hands of criminals and returned to the community will make a real difference in supporting those who want to do good for the community instead of inflicting harm and fear.”
The application form for this year’s competition is available at https://www.dojni.gov.uk/articles/assets-recovery-community-scheme-2016-2017. It is open to Community Groups and all applications must be submitted through the applicant’s Policing and Community Safety Partnership.
