Oversight blamed for insurance problem

A Tandragee man was fined £250 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for driving without insurance on February 7 this year.

Phillip Magill (34), Castle Rise, Tandragee, was also given six points.

When stopped the defendant said he paid by direct debit and was asked to produce his insurance within seven days.

A solicitor representing the defendant said he had moved address and any letters had been sent to his old address. It was a genuine oversight on his part.
