Oxfam’s Portadown shop is helping to raise money for Comic Relief by hosting two days of fundraising events next Friday (Red Nose Day) and Saturday.
The shop will also be selling the official range of red noses, pin badges, wristbands and trolley tokens.
The first event is a coffee morning on Friday from 11am until 1pm with refreshments including pastries, tea and coffee available for a £1 donation.
The baked goods are being supplied by volunteers and customers.
On Saturday from 1pm to 3pm, there will be free face painting and sweets.
Said Agnes Quinn, manager of the shop, “Some of our Oxfam shop volunteers will be getting into the comedy spirit by donning unusual fancy dress for the events in-store, so altogether it is sure to be a fun-filled two days.
“We are also having a sweepstake, by customers picking their favourite, funniest face from the selection of celebrity mugshots.
“The prize-winner keeps half the money and the rest goes to Comic Relief to help save lives.
“The shop always welcomes donations.”
