Peace Group enjoy Lenten Breakfast

Over 70 members and friends of the Causeway Coast Peace Group enjoyed their Annual Lenten Breakfast in the beautiful surroundings of the recently refurbished Bushmills Presbyterian Church Hall.

The breakfast had been prepared and served by Carol Anderson and a team of helpers.

Leader Eleanor Duff welcomed everyone to the event, and following breakfast the Minister of Bushmills Presbyterian Church Rev Nancy Cubitt gave an appropriate Lenten Reflection.

As members departed they left donations of over £400 which will be divided equally between Christian a Aid and Trochaire.

The next meeting of the Peace Group is a special One Day Event to which everyone is invited at Corrymeela Centre, Ballycastle, on Tuesday, February 23 from 9.30am to 4pm.

The meetin g is entitled ‘Small Steps’ and will be an enjoyable, participative day facilitated by Kari Eyben exploring “what Small Steps are we taking to live well together and build peace where we live?”
