Upper Bann MLA Jonathan Buckley said: “It was a pleasure to have the First Minister, Arlene Foster join me on my recent visit to Sandringham Care Home, as we joined the staff in their 8 o’clock clap for carers.

“It has been no secret that some of the very worst effects of COVID-19 have been seen in our care and residential homes.

“In this unprecedented time, care homes have had to deal with staff shortages, lack of PPE and an array of other concerns,” said the Upper Bann MLA.

“Over the past two weeks I have visited care homes across Portadown, Banbridge, Lurgan and the surrounding areas to donate hand sanitiser,” said Mr Buckley.

“Also to say thank you to our exceptional care home staff for their dedication to quality care throughout this time,” said the DUP Assembly member.
