Long traffic queue as motorists wait for Sunday lunch

Hungry motorists braved a very long queue for Sunday lunch at a drive-thru cafe in Co Armagh.

At least 40 cars were in the queue for lunch at The Meadows Cafe near Lurgan, one of many outlets serving up dinners to take away.

Lurgan girl Sinead Crossey said she adores the food at the Meadows, sited at an equestrian centre just off the M1.

But this time she was too hungry and the queue too long so she had to abandon the wait.

“The food is delicious and will try again when the queues calm down,” said Sinead who works at Pin Up Parlour in Lurgan, currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
