Mother of DUP councillor has died

Isobella Catherine Joan McIlwrath, mother of Cllr Lavelle McIlwrath, passed away yesterday at Craigavon Area Hospital.

Cllr McIlwrath, who self-isolated while suffering the effects of the debilitating virus, is a councillor on Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council.

Mrs McIwrath, who was pre-deceased by her husband William Johnston, was from Beltany, Eskra, Omagh and is the mother of Lavelle, Neville, Arlene, Brenda and Leah.

The house and funeral are strictly private in accordance with Covid19 restrictions.

They have asked for family flowers only, but donations in lieu if desired are payable to Clogher Valley Free Presbyterian Church Building Fund, C/o F. Martin & Sons, Funeral Directors, 185 Ballygawley Road, Dungannon BT70 1RY
