Schools invited to join cancer fundraiser

Primary schools in the Portadown area are being asked to hold a very special non-uniform day when their pupils dress up as key workers to raise funds for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.

Friday, 30th April 2021, 11:55 am

The charity, which supports cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland, says their Hooray for Key Workers! event is an excellent way to raise much-needed funds, to have fun, and to celebrate our wonderful key workers who have worked tirelessly throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Children are encouraged to get creative and dress up as any key worker of their choice, from nurses and fire officers to retail workers and teachers, all uniforms are welcome.

To take part, primary schools can simply register for free and choose which day is most suitable to host their non-uniform day before Friday June 25.
