PM's '˜dodgy' Euro deal '˜would embarrass Del Boy': MP Wilson
Outspoken Euro critic Sammy Wilson claimed in the Commons today that Prime Minister David Cameron's deal on European membership would embarrass even Only Fools and Horses rogue trader Del Boy Trotter.
The East Antrim MP told the House: “These proposals do not meet the Prime Minister’s promise to restore control over our own affairs to this parliament. To exercise any veto over unacceptable EU laws or put a brake on benefits to immigrants, we still need to go cap in hand to other European parliaments, or the EU Commission, to seek their permission.
“This is a dodgy deal which even Del Boy would have been embarrassed to be associated with.”
