Police news for Ballymoney

It was reported that a racing go kart was stolen along with three full sets of alloy wheels. Police are advising potential buyers of these stolen items to beware and report any suspicions you might have to local police on the non-emergency number 101.

Police received a report of a further two burglaries during last week. A house on the Bann Road was broken into during the morning of Thursday 25 September. The home owner left the house for a short period to discover that it had been entered and ransacked. It is unclear what, if anything, was taken during the incident.

The second burglary happened again during the morning of Thursday 25 September on the Rowan Road, Ballymoney. It is thought that the intruder entered through a bathroom window and left with a small sum of cash. Police do not believe that the incidents are linked but are asking members of the public to note any suspicious activity, particularly in isolated rural areas, and report it to us immediately on the new non-emergency number 101.

Police are investigating a suspected hit and run collision in the Bridge Road area of Dunloy at around midnight on Saturday 27 September. A man suffered injuries to his face and body after he was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop. He was taken to hospital for treatment to the injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call local police on the 101 non-emergency number.

Police received a report of the theft of a small sum of cash from inside an unlocked car in the Greenville Avenue area of Ballymoney overnight between Sunday 28 September and Sunday 29 September. Police are reminding people to always lock their cars in the wake of the incident.
