Police have searched a house in Kernan Avenue.
The search on Friday night is understood to have been at the same house where three days previously a householder fought off two men armed with crowbars.
Residents reported seeing a heavy police presence in the area just after 6pm on Friday.
Nothing “untoward” was found in the house, police said.
A police spokeswoman said, “Police in Portadown conducted the search of a house in Kernan Avenue, Portadown on Friday, 13 March. The search concluded with nothing untoward found.”
Previously police said they had received a report of “suspicious activity” in Kernan Avenue on Tuesday,
“An altercation took place in the house and two males made off in a white Volkswagen Golf,” they said.
The car was stopped a short time later in Lurgan and a 21-year-old man was arrested.
