Police treating Crebilly flat fire as arson

A fire at a flat in the Crebilly Road area of Ballymena last week is being treated as arson by police.

A PSNI spokesperson said detectives are investigating an incident in which a burning rag was placed under the door of the premises at around 9.30pm on Thursday, May 15.

The occupier of the flat managed to put the fire out and no one was injured during the incident, which police are treating as arson endangering life.

The PSNI spokesperson also said that witnesses may have seen two men run off following the incident.
