One of the signs sits at the Bushmills entrance to Portrush, just a few hundred yards from the fairways of Rathmore Golf Club where Graeme perfected his golfing skills.

Just one month on from this Open win at Pebble Beach, Graeme said he was "delighted" by the signage.

"As a proud Portrush man, this is a huge honour and I am genuinely humbled by the level of recognition I have received in recent weeks," he said.

"The amount of support I have been given since my win, especially from the local community, has been totally overwhelming."

Two more signs will be placed on approach roads into the town from Coleraine and Portstewart.
